We are Laurel Machine Company Inc. founded by
John and David Novak have been in the machining and light fabrication business
since 1986. On time delivery, quality workmanship and competitive pricing
have enabled the business to realize consistent and sustained growth. From
its meager beginnings of one American Pacemaker Manual lathe and two
owners/operators with a combined 36 ½ years of
experience, to its current status of 59 full time employees and 3 part time
employees with numerous pieces of equipment, the company continues to move
forward.
Through sound planning and managed
growth, Laurel Machine maintains a high degree of flexibility, enabling the
company to fulfill all its customers' needs.
Some of
our prototype work is buried in the depths of highway systems designed by
a company that is a worldwide leader in the market of intelligent highway
systems. As a subcontractor, we have produced prototype parts for
NASA projects. New manufacturing consists of OEM replacement parts
for the power transmission industry, gears, hubs, couplers, etc. In
addition, we currently provide a large number of parts for the circuit
breaker industry.
Of our
numerous pieces of equipment that facilitate cost-effective processes, there
are seven that represent the latest in CNC technology. Laurel
Machine's recognition of the evolving marketplace and the demands for
quality in manufacturing has motivated the acquisition of
state-of-the-art, computer controlled machining and turning centers.
We have also added the latest in CAD/CAM software and the peripheral
equipment necessary to offer customers full service machining.
Within
our newly constructed 31,000 square foot shop and office, our
employees continuously strive to produce product in a cost effective
manner. Each employee stands as a member of the quality control
department and recognizes the importance of having each and every
production unit meet the exacting standards established by our customers.
Our employees ensure that each article leaving their work station is
within drawing specifications, process specifications and assembly
specifications. We have grown to a staff of 59 full-time
employees and 3 part time employees. We are proud of the fact that the average age of our work force
is approximately 29 years of age. From our oldest of 66 to our
youngest of 18, we demonstrate our commitment to building a dynamic
workforce that will satisfy the changing needs of our most important
asset; our customers.
